What is the easiest way to give my horse oral colic medication?

I know this sounds crazy,  but without realizing it a lot of people teach their horse to toss their head up instead of lowering it.  

So this is where I encourage people to start when administering wormer to your pony.

 Reach your wormer hand into your horse’s face. When she jerks her head up, just keep your hand there.

You don’t have to take a hold of the muzzle or grab the halter. Just hold your hand there and let your pony raise their head up real high and avoid all that…stuff.

The moment when they’re like, “okay, well the hand’s not going away,” then take your wormer hand away,  letting them know that when they relax to your hand you’re going to release the pressure by taking away your wormer hand.
