How do you Separate Fighting Horses?

In Blog, Ground Work, Horse Health

If you have two horses that are fighting, hopefully, you have something handy that you can use. I always have a steady stick handy all the time. I’ve got one in my barn, I’ve got one in my feed room, by my round pens by the arena.

Grab one of those steady sticks. Start whacking the ground, kiss at them. Just create a lot of pressure. Don’t get in between them, but add some pressure so that they disperse and you can get them to move away from each other. And then when they move away from each other, you can go grab one of those horses and separate them in a safe manner.
